Testimonials
Pruning Workshop - July 2025
Facilitated by Derek Pracy
"I really enjoyed the pruning workshop. Derek was super knowledgeable and shared heaps of practical tips for pruning fruit trees, whether you're just starting out or have some experience. We learned about the best times to prune, saw different tools and techniques in action, and even got great advice on managing pests and disease.
It was especially cool visiting different properties around Katoomba to see real examples, including discussions on espalier techniques."
Louise J.
"Thanks for organising the workshop with Derek - he was really good at getting his gentle enthusiasm across, even on such a cold day."
John Bragg
“The pruning workshop, hosted by Permaculture Matters, and run by the knowledgeable and engaging Derek, was a great hands on experience. Derek answered all our questions, not just on pruning advice, but everything from tree selection to the maintenance and caring of fruit trees. Highly recommended for Blue Mountains locals and Sydney weekenders alike.”
